Laboratory Medicine is a county clinic within the Health and Medical Care Administration in Region Västernorrland. We have approximately 150 employees in total within the clinic. The activity is carried out within clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, clinical immunology and transfusion medicine. We are available around the clock at our hospitals in Sundsvall, Sollefteå and Örnsköldsvik. Laboratory Medicine is accredited according to Swedac SS-EN ISO 15189. At the unit in Örnsköldsvik, we are approximately 25 authorized biomedical analysts working within the disciplines of clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine. We have a positive atmosphere within the work group where we are good at supporting each other in our work. We are now looking for two biomedical analysts to join us.

Within Laboratory Medicine, we offer you stimulating work in an accredited, modern and development-intensive activity. The introduction includes both general information about being employed within Region Västernorrland and specifically at Laboratory Medicine, as well as a practical part where the focus is on learning specific tasks at our unit. The employment includes, among other things, work during inconvenient working hours.

The positions are for permanent full-time employment with access according to agreement.

Within clinical chemistry:

• Sampling
• Sample handling
• Analysis work
• Result reporting
• Quality work
• Maintenance of equipment

Within transfusion medicine:

• Blood collection
• Component preparation
• Blood group serological examinations

• Is an authorized biomedical analyst or will be authorized shortly
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Has previous experience of clinical laboratory work
