Machine Operator at ABB – Västerås

General Information

ABB in Västerås is a key part of our global operations in industrial production and technology. Here, we work with modern production solutions where quality, safety, and efficiency are at the center.

We are now looking for a Machine Operator who wants to contribute to stable and high-quality production. You will become part of an engaged team where collaboration and responsibility are crucial to our success.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will work in production, sharing responsibility for running and monitoring an impregnation process as well as maintaining production equipment. You will ensure that production runs according to plan and that the final product meets the required quality standards.

You will follow established working methods and safety procedures, while remaining attentive to opportunities for improvement and contributing to an efficient and safe working environment.

Your main areas of responsibility include:

• setting up, adjusting, and running the process according to the set production plan
• performing minor repairs and preventive maintenance
• troubleshooting and reporting deviations in production
• ensuring quality and following up on produced units
• documenting work and maintenance according to our procedures

Qualifications for the Role

We are looking for someone with experience from industry, production, or a similar technical environment. You have an interest in technology and thrive in a practical role where you take responsibility and work close to the operations.

To succeed in this role, we see that you:

• are meticulous, responsible, and have a strong safety mindset
• are solution-oriented and enjoy working both independently and in a team
• have good technical understanding and preferably experience with machine operation
• hold forklift and overhead crane licenses
• express yourself well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
