About the operations:

Bällstabergsskolan is a two-parallel F–9 school in southern Vallentuna, close to the Roslagsbanan train line. It is a safe and well-functioning school where both students and staff thrive. Students are given good conditions to develop both academically and socially. Our operations are characterized by dedicated and competent teachers, leisure staff, and student health services who work together to ensure that every student reaches their full potential. The school has functional premises, and each department has its own cafeteria, creating a calm and pleasant environment.

This autumn, we will receive a new, modern kitchen for teaching in Home and Consumer Studies.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an engaged and certified teacher with qualifications to teach Home and Consumer Studies (HKS) at 50 percent. For those with qualifications in additional subjects, the position can be combined into a higher percentage of employment.

As a Home and Consumer Studies teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing teaching based on the goals and central content of the curriculum. Through practical and theoretical moments within cooking, nutrition, personal economics, consumption, sustainable development, and everyday knowledge, you stimulate students' curiosity, responsibility, and ability to make informed choices in everyday life.

We see Home and Consumer Studies as an important subject to give students knowledge and skills for life. Therefore, we are looking for you who want to contribute to developing the subject's role at the school and create teaching that connects to students' everyday lives, future, and societal development.

In the role of a teacher, you help create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to develop based on their conditions. You plan and organize teaching with clear structure and goals in accordance with the curriculum. Through pedagogical planning communicated to both students and guardians, you create participation and clarity in learning.

With clear pedagogical leadership and good collaboration skills, you build relationships that promote motivation, security, and knowledge development. You are solution-oriented, flexible, and actively contribute to a positive work environment where quality and development are in focus. Your teaching is characterized by trust in students' abilities and a varied working method that awakens engagement, independence, and a desire to learn. By adapting teaching to students' different needs and conditions, you strengthen both their learning and motivation.

Qualifications:

• Certified teacher with qualifications in Home and Consumer Studies grades 6-9.
• Good digital competence.
• Meritorious with experience in teaching Home and Consumer Studies.
• Meritorious with qualifications in another subject grades 4-9.

• You work towards results, show reliability, and take responsibility for planning and follow-up of your work.
• You strengthen relationships by helping others, collaborating, following rules and processes, and sharing information.
• You develop, improve, seek solutions, learning, and knowledge on your own initiative.
