Värnamo Eye Center offers modern eye care and performs cataract surgery, outpatient operations, clinic services, diagnostics, and treatment of various eye diseases. We also offer refractive surgery and private eye clinic services.
At our clinic, you will become an important part of a dedicated team where we together create a safe and professional experience for our patients – from first contact to completed treatment.
About the Role
We offer you a varied and developmental role where you work closely with patients, doctors, and other staff members. As a nurse, you play a central role in daily operations and contribute to ensuring high quality and excellent patient care throughout the entire care process.
The role includes independent clinic work, operating room duties, and pre-examinations before doctor visits. You will have the opportunity to work with both scheduled clinic activities and operation-related tasks within specialized eye care.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
- Assisting in various types of eye surgeries, such as cataract surgeries and other outpatient procedures.
- Independent clinic work.
- Pre-examinations before doctor visits, including various diagnostic measurements and examinations.
- Telephone advice and guidance to patients.
- Pre- and post-operative patient information and nursing care.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN).
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills.
Meritorious Qualifications
- Experience working within eye care.
- Experience in clinic work and/or surgical operations.
- Experience with telephone advice and patient triage.
- Experience with the medical record system Cosmic.
- Further education in eye care or surgical nursing.
