About the School

Practical Gymnasium Liljeholmen offers students a concept where theory is mixed with practical exercises both in school and at workplaces. At Practical, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for an educational and fun learning experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: Electricity & Energy, Locksmith, Sales & Service, Children & Leisure, Hairdressing, Hotel & Tourism, Care & Nursing, Vehicles, and the Construction program. Currently, the school has approximately 650 students and about 66 employees.

The school is centrally located in Liljeholmen with good transport connections. We have a competent and well-functioning student health team that is well integrated into daily operations. We have a diverse teaching staff, which we are very proud of.

Your Role

The position is a full-time equivalent to 100% starting August 11th. You will teach and supervise our students across all programs and, together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to subject-specific tasks, you, like other teachers at the school, have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Practical Gymnasium. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans. This applies equally to students and colleagues.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher in mathematics. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter the working life, and your biggest task is to guide them there!
