Consultant Nurse Needed for Psychiatric Ward – Autumn Assignment

Are you a nurse with experience in psychiatry, looking for an assignment where you can work closely with patients in a safe and professional care environment?

We are currently seeking nurses for an assignment within inpatient psychiatric care during autumn 2026.

About the Assignment

You will work on a general psychiatric ward focusing on inpatient care and psychiatric nursing. The facility operates with a person-centered approach where safety, structure, and collaboration are central to the care provided.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Psychiatric nursing care
• Medication management
• Observation and assessment of patients
• Conversation and support for patients and relatives
• Documentation and care planning
• Collaboration with doctors and other healthcare professionals

You will work in a multidisciplinary team where communication and collaboration are key parts of daily work.

Working Hours & Introduction

Work is performed according to a schedule involving day, evening, and night shifts.

An introduction period is planned before the start of the assignment to ensure safety and provide a good foundation for working in the facility.

Duration & Scope

• Period: Week 36–44
• Scope: Approximately 307 hours
• Working hours according to schedule

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed nurse
• Has experience in psychiatric care
• Is confident in making independent assessments and nursing tasks
• Has good collaboration skills and a professional attitude
• Thrives in an environment where patient contact and continuity are important

Merits:

• Specialist education in psychiatric care
• Experience with inpatient care
• Experience with Cosmic (electronic health record system)

Requirements for Presentation

The following documents must be available for presentation:

• Updated CV
• Adult CPR certification
• Two current references from your most recent assignment or employment
