to apply for the job

At Bräcke Diakoni, we are currently looking for a nurse for a short-term summer assignment at our care and housing facility, Ginstgården, in Alingsås. For three weeks, you will become part of a non-profit operation where we work closely with residents and each other. Together, we create a secure and meaningful everyday life for elderly people with cognitive illnesses – with care for both the person and the small moments that make a difference.

Your Role

As a summer substitute nurse at Ginstgården, you will become an important part of our team. You work during the day and have a role close to the operations, collaborating closely with our head nurse and care staff. Together, you monitor the residents' needs, plan interventions, and contribute to a safe and good everyday life.

Your job may involve:

  • Participating in the care responsibility for residents
  • Planning, implementing, and following up on care interventions
  • Supporting and supervising assistant nurses in their daily work
  • Documentation in the medical record system
  • Registering and following up in Senior Alert, the BPSD register, and the Palliative register
  • Collaborating closely with residents, relatives, and colleagues

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse and want to contribute your skills in a close and meaningful context. You are sensitive and calm in your interactions with residents, while being secure enough to guide and support the care staff in their daily work. Since the assignment involves independent work, you need to be confident in your professional role and accustomed to making decisions, even when unexpected situations arise.

Your qualifications

  • Registration as a nurse
  • Very good Swedish in speech and writing
  • Experience working in elderly care is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience from acute medicine is an advantage, as our residents are often multi-morbid
