Are you our new Information Security Specialist with a focus on Security Protection?

About the role

As an Information Security Specialist with a focus on Security Protection within the Swedish National Grid Administration's (SVK) information security team, you will work closely with the business operations and collaborate with central functions within security protection. The role involves analyzing, supporting, and translating requirements into practical implementation. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring that SVK has the right structures, processes, and control environments to meet both current and future demands.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Working closely with operations to support and develop Security Protection Analysis (SPA).
• Collecting, analyzing, and quality-assuring information before it is entered into the SPA.
• Conducting workshops and supporting operations in security protection matters within information security.
• Making qualified assessments related to vulnerabilities based on the external threat landscape.
• Ensuring that correct and relevant information reaches decision-making support systems.
• Contributing to the development of policy documents, analyses, and reports.
• Providing advice, training, and support to operations at all levels.
• Supporting the implementation of security protection measures and follow-up of these.
• Supporting practical security protection work in operations with expertise in information security.

Here you will have significant scope to influence working methods, methodology, and priorities – and you will become a key person in SVK's security governance.

Through your extensive experience in information security and security protection, you will become an important specialist resource for SVK and a part of our long-term strategic security work.

The Information and Cyber Security Unit consists of approximately 15 employees across two teams.

The unit belongs to the Security and Preparedness Department, which has just over 100 employees.

The position is permanent and located at our headquarters in Sundbyberg.

Education:

Relevant academic education in information security, security protection, information technology, or equivalent experience/qualifications.

You also have:

• Extensive experience in security protection.
• Very strong analytical skills.
• High ability to collaborate and communicative proficiency.
• Very strong ability to write analyses, reports, and policy documents.
• Experience working with Security Protection Analysis (SPA).
• Ability to translate regulations into practical operations.
• Structured and meticulous with good documentation skills.
• Ability to work operationally and supportively in operations.
• Good knowledge of and experience in interpreting PMFS (Swedish Police Authority's Regulations) and the Security Service's guidelines within security protection.
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

Meritorious qualifications

• Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces or similar operations.
• Experience from the electricity sector.

Good to know

• The position is located in Sundbyberg.
• Some possibility for remote work, up to 50% when the tasks allow.
• Travel occurs in a very limited extent in this position.
