About Norra Stockholms Psykiatri
Norra Stockholms Psykiatri (NSP) is part of the Stockholm County Council Healthcare Area (SLSO) and is a university clinic with a comprehensive educational and research mandate. We provide both acute and planned specialist psychiatric care for individuals over 18 years of age.
We provide outpatient care in Alvik and at S:t Eriksplan, as well as inpatient care at the S:t Görans Hospital area. The clinic also operates Stockholm's only general psychiatric emergency department for adults, located at the S:t Görans Hospital area.
At our clinic, multidisciplinary teams work with assessment, investigation, and treatment according to national guidelines and regional care programs. We have an active development work and conduct education and research in close collaboration with Karolinska Institutet.
Description
As an intermittent nursing assistant in adult psychiatric inpatient care, you work across the operation and serve as support for several wards based on current staffing and operational needs. The role involves being able to cover absences or reinforcement needs with short notice, thereby being an important resource in the operation.
Responsibilities
- Psychiatric nursing and care of patients in varying care situations
- Observation and reporting of patients' well-being and behavior
- Supportive conversations and motivational work
- Documentation in the medical record system TakeCare according to current guidelines
- Handling of acute situations together with the rest of the team
- Collaboration with other employees
- Work based on different wards' routines, patients, and care orientations
Work within psychiatry is continuously developing, and NSP constantly strives for modern and innovative working methods. Therefore, participation in the wards' quality and development work is a given for our employees.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant, preferably with experience working in psychiatric inpatient care or other psychiatric operations. You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to quickly adapt to different care environments and working methods.
You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a professional and secure work climate for both patients and colleagues. Since the work involves serving on several different inpatient wards, we see that you are flexible, responsible, and have an easy time getting into new routines and patient groups. Great importance is attached to personal suitability, maturity, and the ability to work independently based on the operation's needs.
Conditions
Intermittent employment. Start date according to agreement.
About the recruitment
This is a continuous recruitment of intermittent nursing assistants to the operation's inpatient wards. Selection and contact with candidates take place continuously based on current staffing needs.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Council Healthcare Area:
- register control is applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register control at employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding regarding non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
