School Nurse

At Sundbyberg's Child and Student Health Services, school nurses, school doctors, school psychologists, counselors, and special education teachers work together. We are based in a central unit, but our workplaces are located at our various schools. Within student health, we strive to work preventively and health-promoting. Together with other school staff, we work to create a good environment for both students' knowledge development and personal growth. We are now looking for a new school nurse for our unit.

As a school nurse, you will work within the medical component of student health at Ängskolan, which is a preschool to grade 9 school. You will be responsible for grades 6-9.

Your responsibilities include monitoring students' progress towards learning goals, working health-promoting and preventively, offering health consultations and vaccinations, organizing school doctor clinics, following our basic program, and performing simpler healthcare interventions. This means you will work with preventive health efforts as well as manage other routine tasks for a well-functioning medical student health service. Your role also includes further developing the school nurse profession in collaboration with our student health team.

You will work together with the school's student health team and other staff to support students in achieving their school goals. As a school nurse, you will also collaborate with guardians as well as other organizations and authorities outside the school. You work towards a safe school environment that promotes health, learning, and security.

We want you to be a registered nurse with one of the following specialist nurse educations:

• Specialist Nurse Programme – Community Nurse 75hp
• Specialist Nurse Programme – Child and Adolescent 60hp
• Specialist Nurse Programme – School Nurse 60hp

The position is a permanent full-time (100%) employment. Start date according to agreement. Apply by June 15, 2026.
