Job Responsibilities
Do you want to work in an operation where your competence makes a real difference every day? In Järfälla Municipality, you are welcome to join a dedicated and knowledgeable group of psychologists where collaboration, development, and quality are at the center.
As a school psychologist with us, you will become part of a psychology group that meets regularly every week for collegial exchange, development, and support. Your office is located in Jakobsberg, where you share a work environment with your psychology colleagues in a pleasant and professional community.
The assignment includes working with 23 contact schools where you are a natural part of the schools' student health teams. Together with other professions, you will work in a cross-professional manner to support students' development towards educational goals, with a special focus on health promotion and preventive work.
As a school psychologist in Järfälla, you contribute psychological competence at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Your work mainly involves consultation, supervision, educational initiatives, and assessment of intellectual disabilities. The work is conducted within the framework of the Education Act and the Health and Medical Services Act.
We have a clear ambition: that the right psychological competence meets the right need. Therefore, we also create opportunities for you to work on assignments that match your experience, strengths, and interests. This may involve assignments outside your contact schools, providing both variation and development in your role.
With us, you not only get the opportunity to contribute – you also get to grow.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist, with a license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. You have experience working with children and young people, and we would prefer that you have worked as a school psychologist previously. If you also have experience working within adapted compulsory schools, it is an advantage.
To thrive and succeed in the role with us, you are structured and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. You are secure in your professional role, easy to build trust with, and have a natural ability to build sustainable relationships. At the same time, you have high professional integrity and stand firm in your assessments.
You work independently based on our common routines and frameworks, and have the courage to drive processes forward – always with the best interests of the child as the starting point. Collaboration is central with us, so we expect you to be unpretentious and thrive in a cross-professional environment where different perspectives contribute to the whole.
A B-driver's license and access to a personal car is an advantage as the work involves some travel, but it is not a requirement.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities, your motivation, and your willingness to contribute to our common mission.
We conduct interviews continuously – so we warmly welcome you to submit your application today.
