About the Workplace

Kästaskolan is a municipal primary and adapted primary school located in Huddinge. The school's keywords are Learning, Security, and Health. Approximately 300 students attend Kästaskolan from preschool class to grade 6. We have a lovely school and an appealing environment with good study atmosphere where we strive every day for all children to develop as far as possible. At the school, we work with PAX in Schools and a clear lesson structure called the "Kästalektion," which creates an equal and inclusive school day for all students. Students are given the opportunity for homework support during the school week by qualified teachers, and we have a staffed school library. About the Position

As a special needs teacher/special educator at Kästaskolan, you are part of the student health team together with the principal, deputy principal, special educator, school counselor, school nurse, security officer, and school psychologist. You will work preventively and promotively to ensure our students meet the knowledge requirements. As one of the school's special needs teachers/special educators, you work directly with students, but you also have documentation, supervision, collaboration with teachers, guardians, and external partners as important tasks. In your work, you will also supervise other adults, and you need to be a team player who wants to, can, and dares to lead colleagues. You are flexible and have a salutogenic view of student development. You will drive and develop our Studio and need to have a flexible working method and be well acquainted with students' different needs. If you also have competence in Swedish as a second language, it is highly meritorious.

About You

We are looking for you who:

• Are educated and licensed as a special needs teacher, or a special educator with a teacher education foundation.
• Have experience in the teaching profession at lower, middle, or adapted primary school levels.
• Have very good skills in communicating in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you also:

• Have experience writing and working with pedagogical investigations, XA adaptations, and action plans.
• Have good digital system familiarity, preferably with V-klass and Prorenata.
• Have experience working with students with other mother tongues.

You have good analytical skills and can analyze results at group and individual levels and work on adapting teaching based on this.

You have the ability and experience to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professions to create an inclusive learning environment with differentiated teaching.

You want to contribute to the school's development work and believe it is important to stay updated in the world of education.

You are a solution-oriented person who enjoys working in teams and has good communication skills.
