APL, Apotek Produktion & Laboratorier AB, is responsible for manufacturing extemporaneous medicines, which are individualized medications for specific patients, with the aim of improving and saving lives. Many preparations are made for children and adults with various types of hypersensitivity. APL is state-owned and one of Europe's largest manufacturers of extemporaneous medicines. The company is also an established contract manufacturer within the Life Science industry, with resources for the development, production, and analysis of pharmaceuticals. APL's approximately 600 employees work at five production units in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Umeå, and Strängnäs.

The Role

At our production facility in Umeå, sterile medicines are manufactured with high demands regarding hygiene, production equipment, premises, and processes. All production is carried out according to the quality system GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).

We are now looking for a Pharmaceutical Technician to join the group for inspection, labeling, and packaging, which consists of 18 employees. Orderliness, standardized working methods, and continuous improvement are key principles reflected in everything we do.

Location: Umeå

Responsibilities

You will be part of a team where your participation contributes to creating improvements that develop our operations.

The work mainly consists of inspecting, labeling, and packaging medicines in cleanliness class E. The tasks are performed manually or using various types of machinery.

We place great emphasis on improvement work as part of daily operations and our path forward. You will also assist in deviation investigations and other tasks that may arise within production.

We are looking for you who

  • Have a high school education, preferably with a technical or scientific focus.
  • Have technical/practical skills and interest.
  • Are meticulous and quality-oriented, with good documentation skills.
  • Speak and write Swedish fluently.

Merits:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or the food industry.
  • Experience with LEAN.
  • Knowledge of GMP.
