NHC is looking for Sewers in Umeå

NHC is a leading player in technical textiles with operations throughout Europe and customers across large parts of the world. The company develops and manufactures tarpaulins, tents, halls, canopies, and customized solutions for customers with high demands for quality, functionality, and sustainability. On behalf of NHC, we are now looking for sewers/seamstresses for the operations in Umeå.

About the role

In this role, you will become an important part of the production team, where the focus is on quality, efficiency, and collaboration. The work involves sewing and assembling products within technical textiles, primarily for the defense industry. You will work based on drawings and instructions at your own workstation, where materials and components are prepared for each step.

The products vary in size and complexity, creating a varied workday with both smaller and larger projects. The work requires precision, responsibility, and the ability to work at a high pace without compromising on quality.

Previous experience in sewing or manufacturing industry work is advantageous but not required. The most important thing is that you have the right attitude, practical skills, and the willingness to learn. Training is conducted internally, where you are gradually introduced to the work and the company's products.

The position begins with employment via Uniflex during the first three months. Provided that the collaboration works well, there are good opportunities for continued employment and takeover by NHC.

Working hours are Day shift: 07:00–16:00.

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and quality-conscious. You thrive in practical work with a high pace and have the ability to work both independently and in a team.

You are flexible, engaged, and have the desire to develop together with the company. Since the work involves following instructions and job descriptions, it is important that you master Swedish or English in speech and writing. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability, and a background check will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
