Workplace Description

Mariehäll School opened in 2014 in the newly built Annedal area in Bromma. The school is currently a three-stream school with approximately 540 students in grades Pre-K to 6. At Mariehäll School, the staff are engaged, driven, and have a genuine focus on student learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • are a certified teacher and qualified for grades Pre-K to 3 in theoretical subjects
  • have current experience teaching mathematics and Swedish at the lower or middle primary level
  • we would appreciate if you have special competence in the area of basic reading, writing, and mathematics learning

At Mariehäll School, we work with an expanded teaching role across all grade levels. This position is a substitute role with a potential opportunity for extension. The role, during the academic year 2026/2027, does not include homeroom teacher or mentor responsibilities and will involve teaching at the lower primary level, including planning, implementation, assessment, documentation, and follow-up, with a main focus on Swedish and mathematics. You will be part of a work team where teachers, special education needs coordinators, and after-school staff work together for our students.

  • You plan structured teaching that clarifies expectations regarding what and how students should learn
  • You believe in every student's ability to develop and learn, placing importance on building trusting relationships
  • You have a formative approach, adapting your planning based on student development and results
  • Through clear and engaging leadership, you involve students in both your teaching and planning, creating a safe and accessible learning environment
  • You collaborate easily and see it as a given to work collegially on teaching planning
  • You collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians in a responsive manner
  • You work structured towards goals and results, and are driven and self-initiative
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
