Primary Care Area East in Umeå is a basic unit consisting of the health centers in Ålidhem and Holmsund/Obbola. Ålidhem Health Center is located on Tvistevägen near the center of Ålidhem in Umeå. The health center has approximately 22,700 patients registered with us, and we are about 90 employees making this possible.

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our medical team at Ålidhem Health Center. We are a large group of doctors possessing high and varied competence in general medicine. We have the strength and advantages of being a large health center while maintaining a close and egalitarian relationship among those working there. Collaboration and active dialogue regarding areas for improvement are highly valued. We offer a varied and developing workplace with a clear patient focus.

Job Responsibilities

As a specialist physician with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel safe.

The work is characterized by meetings with people of all ages, dealing with various health-related issues. In your specialist work in general medicine, you will follow an individual's various health problems over time and, in your assessment, take into account the person's entire life situation. As a specialist, you are expected to support doctors who are undergoing training in their ongoing work and to provide supervision during allocated supervision time. You are also expected to be an active part of the medical team's and health center's meetings, dialogues, and improvement work.

Duty shifts at the primary care emergency service and primary care on-call duty are included in the job.

Qualifications

For this job, you need to be a specialist physician in general medicine, or alternatively, be in the final stages of your specialist training (ST) in general medicine. Interest in supervising students and trainee doctors is important.

You are a present and positive person who sees the patient with knowledge and care and can adapt care to the needs that exist. You enjoy collaborating and being there for other people, both patients and colleagues. You function well in the working methods required within primary care and manage your workday based on the commitments expected of a specialist physician. You see opportunities and can handle your workday even when patient pressure is high by independently making decisions in the questions you are faced with.

We require good knowledge of the Swedish language.
