The Department of Nursing Science and Health conducts education and research focusing on care, health, and people's living conditions. We educate nurses, radiographers, specialist nurses, and midwives with the goal of meeting society's need for competent and engaged healthcare personnel. The research at the department spans many areas but has a common starting point in person-centered and evidence-based care. We are nationally and internationally leading in person-centered care, and this perspective permeates both education, research, and collaboration with healthcare. The department is part of the Sahlgrenska Academy at Gothenburg University and operates on Campus Medicinareberget with direct proximity to Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Job Description

As a researcher, you will conduct qualified research work within the framework of an ongoing project under the supervision of Professor Inger Ekman. Your main tasks will consist of analyzing survey data, as well as interpreting and discussing the results together with other members of the research group.

Qualifications

We require that you have solid theoretical knowledge of person-centered care and extensive experience in statistical analysis and working with survey data. The tasks require very good skills in various statistical programs, data management, and digital competence. You must have a PhD in a field relevant to the position and hold the academic degree of Docent.

Our language requirements are very good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good skills in English, both spoken and written.

To succeed in the role, you need to be able to work independently, while having good collaboration skills and thriving in a research environment. We place great emphasis on accuracy, good communication skills, and a well-developed administrative and strategic ability.

In this recruitment, we will make a holistic assessment of applicants' competence and suitability, with the aim of hiring the person who has the best prerequisites to carry out and further develop the tasks – and thereby contribute positively to the continued development of the activity.

Employment

The employment is a fixed-term position for 12 months with a workload of 10%, placed indefinitely at the Department of Nursing Science and Health. Start date by agreement.
