Business Area 3 is represented by Anesthesia/Operation, ICU/IMC/Post-op, and the Sterile Technology Unit, with hospital units in Lidköping, Skövde, and Falköping.

All units work closely together, both between locations and throughout SkaS as a whole. We operate our business area as an integrated whole, which means that as an employee, you may occasionally be deployed to other locations within SkaS to ensure patients receive the care and treatment we are expected to provide. During the summer, operations are concentrated in Skövde, which may also happen at other times during the year.

Our common goal is to put the patient first. We work process-oriented and continuously with business development. Key qualities in our operations are good teamwork skills, the ability to work under varying conditions, and a desire for development.

Operation Lidköping includes Operation/Anesthesia, the Post-operative Unit, and the Central Sterile Supply Department. We perform elective inpatient and day surgery operations in orthopedics, surgery, and gynecology, as well as subacute orthopedic procedures. There are a total of 6 operating rooms. The unit is open Monday-Thursday 06:45-22:00 and Friday 06:45-19:00.

Description

As a nurse in the Post-op unit in Lidköping, you perform pre- and post-operative tasks in close collaboration with Anesthesia and Operation. The role involves nursing responsibility for the patient's care, ensuring they receive the best possible treatment. You administer medical orders and are responsible for post-operative monitoring of vital parameters. You work in a team with specialist nurses, assistant nurses, and anesthesiologists. The team is jointly responsible for the post-operative care beds.

Working hours are primarily day and evening shifts, Monday to Friday, with weekends and public holidays off. However, during concentration periods in Skövde, working hours will follow the current workplace schedule.

Qualifications

As a person, you are responsible and confident in your professional role, while also being receptive and curious to learn new things. The job requires you to be flexible and able to work under changing circumstances and at a varying pace. You must be able to work both independently and in a team. We look for a genuine interest in further developing and contributing to the development of perioperative care in the unit. Personal suitability is highly valued, as is previous experience from post-operative care. A recognized nursing degree is a requirement for the position.
