Nurse for the Addiction Department, Psychiatric Clinic Skellefteå

The Health and Medical Care Administration brings together primary care, dental care, and hospital care into a unified administration, organized into county and local healthcare areas. The Skellefteå local healthcare area includes the Emergency Department, the Center for Surgical Services, the Medical and Geriatric Clinic, the Rehabilitation Center, the Psychiatric Clinic, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units strive to provide good and accessible care.

The Psychiatric Clinic, consisting of approximately 250 employees, provides both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as involuntary psychiatric care. Outpatient services include an Emergency and Assessment Unit (incorporating eating disorder services and the SPOT program), two adult clinics for patients aged 26 and over, the Young Adults clinic for patients aged 18–25, a medical unit, an MBT team, and a geriatric team. Inpatient care consists of a general psychiatric ward and a residential ward with an associated sobering-up unit. Addiction care also includes an outpatient clinic and a LARO (Opioid Agonist Treatment) clinic.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe. We are now seeking licensed nurses for the Addiction Department. The duties will involve varied nursing tasks. As a nurse with us, you will have a broad care perspective with the patient at the center.

You will work in close collaboration with other staff within the unit, relatives, and care peers.

We offer you an individually tailored introduction based on your needs, with continuous follow-up after the introductory period. We want everyone to feel secure in their role and will do what is necessary for you to feel confident. Therefore, the clinic has its own mentorship program where an experienced nurse is appointed as a mentor for you as a new employee. As part of the introduction, you will also complete a digital introductory education.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse (RN).
• Further education in psychiatry and experience in addiction care are meritorious.

Valuable qualities for you include teamwork skills, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. You are interested in improvement work and have the strategic ability to meet the expectations that the comorbidity investigation will bring.
