Do you want to work at a school with high expectations and high goal achievement?

We are looking for a Spanish teacher at Lillhagaskolan, as the current teacher will be on parental leave.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach Spanish to students in grades 6-9, with a focus on differentiated instruction and creating an accessible learning environment. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating student learning, as well as serving as a mentor. You build good relationships with both students and guardians, based on trust and respect. You are aware of your own impact on student learning. Based on student results, research, and proven experience, you monitor the quality of teaching, reflect, and evaluate with the aim of developing the teaching. You provide forward-looking feedback to students to support their development and assist students according to their individual needs. You collaborate with colleagues to develop yourself and your teaching, as well as the school's pedagogical work.

About the Workplace

Lillhagaskolan is a nine-grade secondary school with just over 500 students and a competent and dedicated staff of approximately 60 people. In addition to teaching staff, the school employs a counselor, school nurse, psychologist, special education teacher, special needs pedagogue, study and career counselor, and social pedagogues who work together to promote safety and learning.

Many of us have worked at the school for many years, and we are accustomed to supporting each other, as well as taking personal responsibility and working flexibly. We have very good goal achievement and constantly strive to become even better.

Lillhagaskolan's goal is for students to have the opportunity to develop and reach as far as possible based on their own prerequisites, through guidance, stimulation, accessible teaching, and a learning environment.

Qualifications

You have a teaching degree with a valid teaching license, as well as experience in grading and assessment. You have clear classroom leadership and are a positive role model for our students. You are flexible and have good collaboration skills, easily building good relationships and cooperating with students, guardians, and colleagues. The students' prerequisites and needs drive the interventions. This requires you to have a good ability to adapt teaching individually and in groups for the students you are responsible for.

Other Information

We require a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) before employment.

Nykvarn Municipality is a Swedish-speaking municipality in Finland, and speaking Finnish is considered an advantage.
