Your Responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for strategic and tactical procurement with a focus on raw materials, components, services, and supplier development. You will drive commercial matters forward and ensure that Brightec has the right supplier base, conditions, and risk level.

Strategic and Tactical Procurement

• Own and develop the supplier base for raw materials, components, and services.
• Negotiate framework agreements, annual price revisions, and delivery terms.
• Drive category management and supplier consolidation.
• Monitor the aluminum and steel markets, including LME prices and price index clauses.

Contracts, Risk, and Commercial Terms

• Develop, negotiate, and maintain supplier agreements, quality agreements, and NDAs.
• Ensure that supplier terms reflect Brightec's commitments to customers.
• Assess supplier risks related to economics, delivery performance, and quality.
• Handle escalated complaints and commercial discrepancies.

Supplier Development and Improvement Work

• Conduct supplier assessments, scorecards, and supplier visits.
• Drive improvement projects as well as insourcing and outsourcing.
• Develop working methods that strengthen quality, delivery security, and profitability.

Trading, Business Development, and Reporting

• Contribute to the development of the trading business with a focus on margin, assortment, and supplier selection.
• Prepare materials for management and the board.
• Participate in business planning and budgeting for the procurement area.
• Collaborate closely with quality, planning, and production.

Key Information

The position is located at Brightec Production AB in Mullhyttan. The role is a permanent full-time position, and the start date is as soon as possible according to agreement. You report to the Production Manager and have close dialogue with the CEO regarding strategic procurement matters. The role requires on-site presence, but some flexibility may be possible after the introduction period. Supplier visits occur, primarily in Sweden and Europe, including the Baltic states.

Our Expectations

We are looking for someone with at least five years of experience in procurement within the manufacturing industry, including at least three years in a strategic or senior role. You have documented experience in independent negotiations at the framework agreement and price levels, and you are confident in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating supplier contracts. You do not need to be a lawyer, but you understand commercial and legal risks and know when issues need to be escalated.

To succeed in the role, you have technical understanding and can read drawings and technical specifications for mechanical components. You also have concrete experience with aluminum, steel, or other metal markets, preferably linked to LME pricing. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Experience from contract manufacturing, mechanical workshops, international suppliers, or trading activities is highly meritorious. Knowledge of APQP, supplier changes, insourcing, outsourcing, or the business system Monitor is also valuable.

As a person, you are business-minded, structured, and results-oriented. You have strong integrity, build trust in dialogues with suppliers, and thrive taking responsibility without the need for constant supervision. At the same time, you are unpretentious and understand the value of working closely with operations in a smaller organization where strategy and practical execution are interconnected.
