Your responsibilities

As an assistant nurse at Edshultsgården, you provide personal care and social support based on the residents' needs. Your work is characterized by responsibility, interaction, and a strive to provide the best possible care. As an assistant nurse with us, you value our residents' self-determination, integrity, and participation, so that the resident can feel well-being. We work together to give the elderly a meaningful and stimulating daily life.

You can expect varied tasks; helping with meals, dressing and undressing, moving, personal hygiene, escorting, walks, creating security, and breaking isolation. Service tasks include laundry, making beds, shopping, and cleaning. Documenting the care and nursing you provide is an important part of the daily work.

The role also includes performing certain health and medical tasks on delegation.

Your profile

• We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse or are studying to become one.
• Previous experience from working in special housing is meritorious, as well as knowledge and/or experience of working with people with dementia.
• You are accustomed to working with digital work tools such as mobile phone, computer, or tablet and possess good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to be able to document the care you provide and communicate with our residents.
• Since some work tasks require good physical fitness, it is important that this requirement is also met.
• Requirement of a B driving license.

We assume that you have personal maturity and are both independent and service-oriented. You take responsibility, are flexible, and can handle stressful situations. You are proactive and sensitive to residents' needs and show respect for other people. You find it easy to collaborate with residents, relatives, colleagues, and other staff.

About the workplace

Edshultsgården's special housing welcomes you with its prestigious exterior and laughter from many children who eat their lunch in the same premises. Friendliness and a homey atmosphere characterize both Edshultsgården's values and the departments. Edshultsgården is divided into 3 floors and 9 departments, all with 24/7 staffing and person-centered care. Each department has 8-9 residents, but the long corridors give the feeling of a regular apartment building. In addition, we have the privilege of having 3 quality leaders, a meal coordinator, and an activity coordinator who have extra focus on quality in our care.

Edshultsgården has a dementia focus on 8 of its departments and a somatic focus on one department.
