There is now an opportunity to combine work in inpatient care and outpatient services. The position is divided with 50% on wards 17/18 and 50% at the orthopedic clinic, with a rotation schedule of four weeks per department. During the period on the ward, weekend shifts are included (two weekends per four-week period).

This rotation schedule offers a nice variation in work and the opportunity to leverage strengths in both departments. Our orthopedic inpatient care is divided into two wards: Ward 17, which admits acute orthopedic patients, and Ward 18, which focuses on elective orthopedics with pre- and postoperative care. You will encounter patients with fractures, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal diagnoses. The pace varies, contributing to a dynamic and stimulating work environment. Here, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and doctors work closely together to create safe and high-quality care. Patients at the clinic come for follow-up visits from the emergency department or are referred from primary care or other facilities. A large part of our patients come for wound or plaster treatment, assessment by a specialist physician, and surgical planning.

At the orthopedic clinic, we work daytime, Monday to Friday, closed on public holidays. This position is a fixed-term appointment.

Ward:

• Responsible for and planning the nursing care for your patients
• Perform medical assessments, medication management, and monitoring of the patient's condition
• Participate in pre- and postoperative care as well as pain management

Clinic:

• Own nurse-led clinic
• Wound care treatment
• Telephone advice and patient booking
• Nitrous oxide sedation for children coming for various types of treatment
• Pre-registration and surgical planning

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse with work experience
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
• Ability to work in a structured and independent manner
• Flexibility and ability to quickly switch between tasks when needed

Merits:

• Experience with TeleQ and 1177 management
• Experience in orthopedics
• Experience with wound dressing changes
