Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge in Sami.

We offer home care in several parts of the municipality and have special housing in Järpen, Kall, Mörsil, Hallen, and Duved. Home care is provided in Hallen, Järpen, and Duved. Regardless of the unit, you will meet a workplace where closeness, care, and professionalism are at the center.

About the position

We are now looking for 8 care assistants. The need concerns home care in Duved and Järpen as well as special housing in Järpen, Mörsil, and Kall. Recruitment is ongoing, and you have the opportunity to request placement location and degree of employment.

Job Responsibilities

Your job responsibilities are to provide good and individualized care together with licensed personnel and the rest of the team. We work with a rehabilitative approach to maintain and strengthen the individual's own abilities.

We work based on both the Health and Medical Services Act and the Social Services Act, which means that we meet people with different needs where both medical and social interventions are included.

  • You will perform health and medical care tasks delegated by nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists according to the Health and Medical Services Act.
  • You are expected to be able to make independent decisions in your professional role.
  • The work is scheduled during days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

We use the work tool TES in home care and document in Treserva.

Qualifications

We primarily seek care assistants but also welcome applications from care aides with experience in elderly care as well as experience with delegation.

  • We prioritize applicants who have proof of the right to use the professional title "care assistant" according to the National Board of Health and Welfare, or those awaiting their professional title.
  • It is meritorious if you have a few years of experience working in healthcare.
  • You must be confident in your professional role and able to work independently, have a holistic perspective, and feel comfortable making assessments.
  • You are responsible for documenting what is relevant in a clear and precise manner according to current legislation and procedures.
  • A B-driver's license is required to work in home care; it is meritorious for work in special housing.

As a person, you understand what is needed to provide individualized care and support. You can step forward and take a place when needed and together with your new colleagues contribute to fun moments at work.
