Residents of Jämtland County who require specialized psychiatric care receive their treatment in outpatient or inpatient care within the psychiatry department at Östersund Hospital. The staff at these units have a significant responsibility for developing and improving care in collaboration with the department's management. There are approximately 270 employees in the department in total.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant in inpatient care, you work closely with the patient and provide daily support through personal care and social interaction. At our facility, you work together with other professional groups such as nurses, doctors, counselors, and psychologists. You will have a broad and exciting field of work and close collaboration with the department's outpatient care.

Ward 4A is primarily a psychosis ward with 10 beds. We also have experience and high competence in eating disorder care for severe phases. Most patients are treated under compulsory care. Here, we work with challenges such as patient participation and person-centered care within the framework of compulsory care. Care is always tailored to the patient's individual needs, with the human being and the person at the center.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must be a trained nursing assistant with proof of a protected professional title or a trained caregiver within psychiatry.

Previous work experience from psychiatry, treatment homes, or similar operations is meritorious. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have education and work experience in basic nursing care. As a person, you see the value of building and maintaining good relationships with patients and colleagues.
