About the DepartmentThe Counseling Clinic for Children and Young People in Borlänge covers the areas of Borlänge, Säter, and Gagnef, and is the largest clinic in the county. The clinic adopts a family perspective and is built on close collaboration between primary care, social services, and schools, as well as an intensified cooperation between child and adolescent psychiatry and habilitation services to ensure early detection and guarantee quality care. Currently, counselors, talk therapists, licensed psychotherapists, and clinical assistants work at the clinic. We also have a colleague from the municipality working with us on family therapy.
At the Youth Clinic, with which we collaborate closely, counselors, talk therapists, psychologists, doctors, midwives, and nursing assistants work. Both clinics are located on Skomakargatan and share premises. We are a wonderful team with extensive combined expertise and a drive to improve the mental health of children and young people in the municipalities. Exciting development projects are underway in the field of children and young people. We are now looking for a colleague who wants to drive development forward together with us! Travel may be required for the position. Personal suitability will be given great weight. Interviews may take place continuously during the recruitment period.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a psychologist at our clinic, you will conduct psychological treatment work with children and young people (up to 18 years old) and their guardians. You will collaborate with colleagues, care partners, and schools. Together with colleagues, you will also participate in certain preventive work that is part of the Youth Health initiative in the municipality. We offer meaningful and stimulating work with significant personal responsibility. We provide continuous supervision at the clinic. We also have regular collaboration with child and adolescent psychiatry.
QualificationsRequirements:
- Licensed Psychologist
- Experience in psychological treatment work at the primary care level.
Personal qualities of importance:
You are confident in yourself and have a genuine interest in assessing the need for interventions and conducting treatments with children and young people together with their families. You have the ability to build close relationships while maintaining a clear professional role. You can work both independently and in a team with colleagues and other collaboration partners.
