Your new workplace

Do you want to become the world's most important substitute? Make a difference – we need you who want to work as an hourly substitute within care and social services in our outer districts. You are welcome to apply even if you have no prior experience.

We are looking for you who want to contribute and make a difference in people's lives in one of these areas of operation:

  • Elderly care homes
  • Home help services
  • Support and care – residential care for young and adults with disabilities
  • Personal assistance

We are seeking substitutes for our workplaces located in the areas of Matfors, Stöde, Liden, Indal, Kovland, and Njurunda.

You are offered a developing and important job in a community with dedicated colleagues. You will gain valuable experience within the profession, and as a substitute, you will have the opportunity to work at several different workplaces and to plan your own working hours.

Our recruitment process is digital and will be carried out via video interviews that you answer yourself when it suits you. Telephone interviews are also offered if needed or requested.

How you contribute in the role of hourly substitute within care and social services

As a substitute, you provide support in people's daily lives and contribute to security, independence, and meaningfulness based on their individual needs. The care work varies between operations and can range from extensive care to support and guidance that strengthens the individual's independence.

Common tasks include:

  • Personal care
  • Preparing, serving, and assisting with meals
  • Cleaning and laundry
  • Medication administration
  • Documentation of interventions
  • Promoting the individual's independence through support and guidance
  • Social interaction and activation

Working hours are scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends, and within some operations, awake nights or 24-hour shifts with sleeping on-call.

Your competence and experience

This is what you need to proceed in the recruitment process:

  • You need to be able to get to the workplace on your own. You need a B-driving license and access to a car if you do not live in the area, as public transport is lacking on some days and times.
  • Good Swedish skills and education corresponding to SFI D (Swedish for Immigrants, Course D) is a requirement as the work involves close dialogue and cooperation with both colleagues and care recipients.
  • You must be 18 years old when you start the position to meet occupational health and patient safety requirements.
  • Basic digital skills are required as the work involves documenting and using digital aids.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for you who are interested in working with people and find it easy to cooperate with colleagues. You are engaged and responsive in the meeting with the individual and feel that your job is significant. You are flexible and calm even in changed circumstances or stressful situations. Since solo work may also occur, it is also important that you can work independently.

This increases your chances of employment:

Education or experience within care and social services, psychiatry, or pedagogy is meritorious, as is other equivalent competence. Within home help services, a driver's license is required even for those who live in the area. You should also be comfortable with administering medication. Being flexible with working hours and having high availability for work is desirable.

About the recruitment process

As an hourly substitute, you are booked directly via the booking system Time Care Pool. By registering your availability in the system, you accept being booked for these times. You are responsible for entering and keeping your availability updated. You are booked both with short notice and further in the future based on your availability. When booked, you receive an SMS with working hours, date, and workplace.

The application process goes like this:

  • You apply by answering some selection questions and attaching an updated CV with your education, employment, and time periods. If you have relevant education, please attach grades/diplomas.
  • We recruit continuously based on current needs.
  • If you proceed in the process, you will be contacted via email.
  • We use AI as support in the recruitment process. It does not replace human judgment but is used as a complement in our work.

NOTE! If you have protected personal data, do not apply via the advertisement. Instead, contact the Staffing Unit at 060-191919 and ask to speak with the responsible substitute coordinator.
