Native Language Teacher for the Multicultural Unit

The Education Administration is responsible for all operations within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school centers, upper secondary schools, and adult education.
The Multicultural Unit is responsible for native language instruction and study guidance for newly arrived students in Sigtuna and Knivsta municipalities. In our operations, we place the student at the center, focusing on strengthening the student's identity and promoting knowledge development based on the student's native language. We work for a safe and open atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable sharing their opinions, highlighting their ideas, and trying new concepts. In trust, children/students, parents, and staff collaborate on gender equality, democracy, and the equal value of all individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role involves planning, conducting, and assessing students based on the curriculum in native language. The teaching will be conducted in heterogeneous groups at several schools in Sigtuna Municipality. Study guidance may also be included.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you with work experience as a native language teacher. If you have teacher education or other pedagogical training, we view this as a significant plus. Similarly, if you have education in languages.
You should be well-grounded in the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School (Lgr 22) and able to work with digital tools in teaching to promote learning.
As a person, you are positive, engaged, and want to contribute to good language development among our students. You enjoy working with children and young people and can build good relationships with both students and their parents. You can work independently but also in close collaboration with others. You are a secure adult, have good communication skills, and wish to develop in your teaching role.
It is also meritorious to have a B driver's license and access to a personal car, as the position involves travel between different schools and workplaces.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
