Alviksskolan is a municipal school (grades F-9) in Bromma, integrated with Stockholm's only F-9 school for students with hearing adaptations. The school has approximately 1,000 students, and around 180 staff members work here to keep the student at the center of focus throughout the school day. We want our students to succeed in life by getting a good start at Alviksskolan. Our employees are engaged and have a strong desire to develop and improve the school. Your role, competence, and experience

We are now looking for an engaged special needs teacher for Alviksskolan!

As a special needs teacher with us, you play an important role in creating accessible learning environments and giving students the best possible conditions for success in school. You work both promotively, preventively, and remedially by developing teaching and learning environments in close collaboration with the school's educators and student health team.

The assignment includes:

  • conducting pedagogical assessments and mappings,
  • supervising and supporting teachers and work teams in the work with extra adaptations and special support,
  • contributing to the development of the school's inclusive learning environments,
  • participating in the work regarding action plans and follow-ups,
  • working with students individually and in small groups,
  • being a support for school leadership and educators in matters concerning students in need of special support.

You will primarily work with grades 6–9 and be a natural part of the school's student health team together with special needs teachers, counselors, school nurses, study and career counselors, as well as school leadership.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree as a special needs teacher. Experience working as a teacher and special needs teacher is a requirement.

You have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and experience in student health work, as well as working with pedagogical assessments, extra adaptations, special support, and action plans. You are confident in the supervisory role and have the ability to create good collaborations with both educators, students, and guardians.

You have good pedagogical and didactic skills and work systematically to contribute to study peace and an accessible learning environment for all students. We would like you to have an interest in school development and to base your work on research and proven experience.

You are accustomed to using digital tools as support in the pedagogical work and express yourself well in speech and writing.

As a person, you are sensitive, solution-focused, and have a professional approach. You build good relationships and contribute to a positive work climate.
