The Social Psychiatry department in Falköping consists of the following units:

VILSKEGÅRDEN is a special accommodation located in Floby, with good train and bus connections. The facility has two wards: Gullvivan and Prästkragen. Each ward has common areas including a dining room, a lounge, and an enclosed balcony or outdoor area.

Adjacent to the accommodation is a fenced garden with a pond and a greenhouse. There is also a newly started activity center where users can engage in activities together with staff, based on their own conditions.

The Vision of the Operation

We aim to help residents of Falköping with special needs live a dignified and functional life. Through support, motivation, and professional treatment, we meet their needs and increase their opportunities for as independent a life as possible.

Description of the Operation

Vilskegård's special competence is crucial for the individual. The 16 places are intended for people whose primary diagnoses are within psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and the dementia spectrum. This applies to individuals whose behavior deviates from what is generally considered normal for the diagnosis, or who exhibit risky behavior that causes unnecessary suffering to themselves or others. These individuals are usually found in elderly care, dementia care, external residential care for youth (HVB), or in some cases, ordinary housing with certain staff support.

Vilskegård's unit also has the task of serving as support and a sounding board for other operations regarding specific issues concerning individuals.

We run a newly renovated operation with technology in focus, where skilled employees of varying ages work.

KAPELLGATAN 8 in Floby is a housing with special service according to the Social Services Act for people with mental disabilities. The building has two floors and offers common areas such as a TV room, dining room, kitchen, spa room, and activity room.

The Goal of the Operation

Through social training, meaningful occupation, work, and other targeted interventions, our goal is to strengthen the individual's ability to live an independent life, participate in the community, and live like others.

The basic direction is that people with mental disabilities should be able to live in their own housing. A prerequisite for this is that you receive the support and help you need. To maintain functional capacity, it is important that you do as much as possible yourself. We aim to provide help for self-help.

HOUSING SUPPORT aims to help you manage your daily life. Support can be provided in your own home or in special accommodation, and can be both practical and social. The purpose is to strengthen your ability to handle daily life by helping with structure, household management, preventing isolation, and encouraging participation in various activities.

What are we looking for in you?

A nursing and care program is desirable. Experience from psychiatry is an advantage. You should be patient and able to handle users who have a hard time.

You have personal maturity and can meet individuals with special needs in a low-affective manner. You are flexible and open to changes, as the operation may need to adapt quickly to users' needs. You put users and the operation first and are happy to follow jointly made decisions.

You must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Completion of SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) is required.

We have several positions available and make ongoing appointments. You who can work the entire summer of 2026 will be prioritized.

Note that fur-bearing animals are present in the operation and that the majority of users are smokers.
