Responsibilities

As a special educator, your main task is to work with knowledge and skills for students with a need for special support. Based on your assignment as a special educator, you create, together with dedicated staff, a favorable pedagogical environment, a learning environment where everyone can thrive and develop. You should be able to assist with pedagogical assessments, development plans, and action programs, as well as provide supervision/consultation to staff. Your duties include contact with guardians as well as authorities and institutions. The assignment includes teaching and development of the adapted school. You are involved in handover and follow-up during transitions between school operations and are part of the student health team. An important part of the work is to identify development needs and be proactive in the development towards the school's common goals.

Profile

You are educated and licensed as a special educator with a focus on the adapted school. You have documented experience in student health work, special support with a focus on NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), and adapted primary school. You possess broad subject competence and have good collaboration skills, working with the child's best interests in mind. You have a good attitude towards children and young people that aligns well with the curriculum for primary school. You are structured and organized in your work.

You possess patience and have a positive attitude and the willingness to learn new things. Flexibility and good collaboration skills are important in the work, to create good relationships and collaborate with students, guardians, work teams, the school's student health team, and school leadership. You take initiative where you see a need and have the ability to see the best interests of the entire operation. With curiosity and presence in a clear structure and with varied content adapted to the individual student, you create the best conditions for our students to grow and learn.

You have a good ability for analysis and reflection and constantly develop your professional role and the school's work. You see yourself as a natural part of creating good conditions for student learning. We place great value on personal suitability.
