Job Description

As a service technician specializing in healthcare equipment, you will work with annual inspections, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, purchasing of spare parts, and repairs. The main tasks involve patient beds, crash carts, patient lifts, operating room tables, and examination lamps. Additional tasks may arise within the team and in collaboration with other teams.

The department is divided into teams with different specializations. The healthcare equipment team currently consists of three people. Together, you are responsible for the assignments, creating an annual plan, and planning the daily work. A digital system support is used for work orders and routine cases, as well as planning, follow-up, and documentation. Several team coordinators are also available to support the work.

The department is responsible for Region Halland's properties in Southern Halland. The majority of the work will take place at Halmstad Hospital. The position is located at Halmstad Hospital, but travel within the county is included.

About the Workplace

Technology and Property is a division within the Regionservice administration, tasked with delivering operations and maintenance of Region Halland's properties and technical installations. We have competence in areas such as medical technology equipment, technical management, electricity, plumbing, gas, control & regulation technology, mechanics, outdoor environment, and energy.

We have approximately 80 employees and are located throughout the region. We fulfill our mission with a mix of own staff and subcontractors. Our strength is that we are multi-skilled but also specialized in the systems that ensure safe and secure operations in the more protected properties in Halland.

Qualifications

You must have at least a high school diploma. A technical high school diploma is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you have documented training in healthcare equipment or experience in technical work within healthcare.

Furthermore, you must have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You should also have good computer skills and experience working in IT systems. Experience working in case management/work order systems is preferred. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.

As a person, you are calm and stable with the ability to focus on the right things. You should be good at collaborating, as you and your colleagues share responsibility for achieving team goals. You can work both independently and in a team. You take responsibility and initiative and have a willingness to help others. You can plan, execute, and document your work efficiently.

We see that you are meticulous and quality-conscious. You enjoy developing, improving, and finding solutions to problems.

In your work, you will have contact with many customers and suppliers, so it is important that you are service-oriented and enjoy customer interaction. We value humility and responsiveness highly and believe you are a social and unpretentious person who contributes to a positive atmosphere in the department.

We do not expect you to know everything before you start, but you need to have an interest in working with technology and a willingness to learn. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
