The Education Administration is responsible for all operations within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, leisure centers, upper secondary schools, and adult education.

At Arlandagymnasiet, approximately 1,300 students are enrolled. We offer 11 upper secondary programs, including university-preparatory programs and vocational programs. The school offers one of the few aviation technology programs in Sweden, as well as national and local sports programs in handball, football, floorball, ice hockey, and e-sports.

Arlandagymnasiet also offers introductory programs, adapted for students who lack the eligibility to enter a national program, as well as an adapted upper secondary school, which is a four-year voluntary education for young people with intellectual disabilities.

Our annual evaluations show that students and staff are very happy at our school. Skilled teachers, the school's bright and airy premises, and not least the good atmosphere among students are contributing factors to this.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Arlandagymnasiet is now looking for an upper secondary school teacher who will work with our university-preparatory programs and teach Mathematics.

You will work with our wonderful students in courses that demand great flexibility, knowledge, and curiosity. As a person, you are receptive and creative, and you can meet each student based on their individual prerequisites.

Good relationships with students and colleagues are seen as essential for successful teaching. At Arlandagymnasiet, we all actively work for an inclusive classroom – everyone can succeed with the right conditions.

We want you to be able to work independently, but also have good collaboration skills. At Arlandagymnasiet, we have full-time mentors who are key figures for the students in their studies. You will work closely with the full-time mentors, your work team, and other colleagues to create the best conditions for our students.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a teaching license in mathematics for upper secondary school and experience in teaching mathematics to upper secondary students. It is an advantage if you have an additional subject in your teaching license.

You are a confident person with very good leadership skills, are solution-focused, and have a positive attitude. You give students feedback and develop their knowledge through clarity, enthusiasm, and engagement.

As a leader in the classroom, you ensure the creation of a safe atmosphere that follows the school's values and rules of conduct.

The applicant has good digital competence and feels confident using the most common digital tools. You are good at organizing and planning your work well and understand the importance of structure in your lesson planning.
