We offer our summer substitutes an introduction to the operations so that you feel secure, even if you have not previously worked with similar tasks. Within LSS, operations run around the clock, which means you may work days, evenings, weekends, and/or nights.

Job Responsibilities

Group and Service Housing

As a support assistant or care assistant, you work in a group or service housing facility or in daily activities. The people you meet in your work have some form of physical and/or mental functional variation. You will be a social and pedagogical support for users who need help making daily life work. Your duties include, among other things, helping with transfers, dressing and undressing, hygiene, cooking, shopping, and cleaning.

Short-term/Freetime

Short-term/Freetime is an activity for children and youths aged 5–19 with some form of functional variation. The purpose of the activity is for the children/youths to have a meaningful free time, as well as a change of environment and recreation. The activity takes place in connection with the school day, during holidays, and when parents need respite, which also includes nights and weekends.

Housing Support/Social Psychiatry

As a support or care assistant within social psychiatry, you work with people living with mental ill-health who are covered by the Social Services Act (SoL). You are a social and pedagogical support in the user's home and immediate environment. You motivate the individual to become as independent as possible by supporting the user in, for example, managing their home and grocery shopping. The support is based on participation and is tailored individually.

Qualifications

To thrive and do a good job, you need to have a genuine interest in people. You treat our users with respect and take into account their individual needs and wishes. The work is varied, which means you need to be confident in yourself and able to adapt to different situations. You enjoy learning new things, are attentive, and show interest in the work.

Having a child and youth education, nurse assistant education, or education in psychiatry is meritorious. We also consider it meritorious if you have previous experience working in healthcare and social services, LSS, and psychiatry. You must be at least 18 years old and have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. A B-class driver's license is required for housing support.

To work as a temporary substitute within LSS & social psychiatry, you need to submit a valid extract from the criminal record register before employment. Conditions

Fixed-term employment with irregular working hours. Day, evening, weekend, and/or night work is included. Interviews and employment will take place on a rolling basis.
