About the DepartmentDo you want to work in an engaged team where the patient's recovery and involvement are in focus? We are now looking for a licensed occupational therapist for the outpatient psychiatry in Ludvika. Here you will have the opportunity to work broadly with psychiatric rehabilitation and make a real difference in people's daily lives.
The clinic is located at Ludvika Hospital in new premises that provide a calm and pleasant environment. There is a good atmosphere, open climate, and good collegial collaboration at the workplace. The clinic consists of approximately 35 employees, including nurses, care assistants, counselors, licensed psychotherapists, psychologists, doctors, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, and managers. The clinic has broad specialist psychiatric competence working in a cross-professional manner. The patient groups we meet have various psychiatric conditions such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, neuropsychiatric disabilities, PTSD, as well as more severe anxiety and depression disorders.
We work daytime, Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch and the possibility of flexible hours if the work allows. Region Dalarna offers a wellness allowance of 2000 SEK/year. We work actively with wellness and working environment. At the hospital, there is access to a gym and wellness offerings that provide various organized classes. An elliptical trail is located near the hospital, and there are several ski slopes for downhill skiing in the immediate area. There are also plenty of lakes for swimming and fishing, as well as forests for walking and cycling.

As an occupational therapist in outpatient psychiatry, you will work with:
- assessing activity capacity and rehabilitation needs
- supporting patients in creating structure and functional daily routines
- conducting individual treatments and group interventions
- working with assistive devices, cognitive support, and activity balance
- collaborating with relatives, the municipality, and other healthcare providers
- contributing occupational therapy competence to the team's treatment planning
The work involves patients with, for example, depression, anxiety, neuropsychiatric disabilities, and other mental health issues.
QualificationsRequirements:
- Licensed occupational therapist with interest in psychiatry and rehabilitation
- Works independently and structured
- Good collaboration skills and a professional approach
Meritorious:
- Experience in psychiatry and/or work with mental health issues
