Your workplace

In Filipstad, we have our larger clinic with many employees, where we hold thorough therapy discussions across different areas and professional categories. Lesjöfors is the smaller, family-like clinic where the pace feels a bit calmer. Both of our clinics are located in fresh facilities in scenic areas. An advantage of working with us is the opportunity to vary between a large and a small workplace. We currently have a total of 18 employees, serving approximately 4,500 adult patients and 1,700 children and young people.

Filipstad Municipality is located in eastern Värmland and is known as the home of chips and crispbread; factories for Barilla, Wasa, and OLW are all located here. It is also a municipality rich in nature experiences. Here, you will find many opportunities if you enjoy what nature has to offer, such as fishing and hiking, or why not discover the deep mine at Tila's Stoll on Högbergsfältet?

Experience eastern Värmland from the water – by boat, kayak, or canoe, you can travel all the way down to Kristinehamn. Other sports activities, regardless of the season, can be enjoyed at the Kalhyttan sports and leisure arena, which features jogging trails in varied terrain, mountain bike trails, and in winter, fantastic cross-country ski tracks with artificial snow, ensuring a long season.

Your responsibilities

You will work as a team leader, sharing duties with experienced dental hygienists and dental nurses. We offer good opportunities to work varied within the entire scope of a dentist's competence for personal development, ranging from fillings and simple orthodontics to larger treatments such as prosthetics and surgery. If you wish to specialize in a specific area and act as a local referral authority, this is also something we at Folktandvården Värmland view positively over time. We offer supervision during the first year, all to create a secure environment for good personal professional development at a manageable pace.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed dentist; experience is an advantage. Within your profession, you act respectfully, collaborate well, and are social with patients, colleagues, and management. You look beyond the immediate task and consider the well-being of all employees, the good development of the business, and strive towards set goals. You are a service-oriented person who adapts easily to changing circumstances. You are structured and always consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions.

About us

Folktandvården Värmland is part of Region Värmland and has 17 general dental clinics, distributed across 24 different units – from Sysslebäck in the north to Säffle in the southwest. Additionally, there are clinics within all specialist areas that treat referred patients. We are a forward-thinking organization with quality and competence as our focus. Approximately 560 people work here, together possessing long and broad experience in working for better dental and oral health.
