Here you will take on a concrete and important challenge in a municipal school environment: to develop an early proposal for how an existing schoolyard can be divided and developed so that several operations function well side by side. The focus is on creating a safe, functional, and accessible yard environment where a resource school with approximately 30 students gets the right conditions for their daily lives.

The assignment also includes solutions for smaller play equipment, better accessibility where there are level differences and stairs today, as well as a clearly marked pedestrian path to the school's entrance. You work in an early stage where your analyses, sketches, and priorities become important for both usability, safety, and feasibility. This is an interesting opportunity for you who want to combine design, accessibility, and early planning in an assignment with clear benefits for children and school staff.

• You produce a simple sketch and proposal layout for how the yard areas can be allocated between different school operations.
• You propose the placement of smaller play equipment with a special focus on the resource school's needs.
• You design overall accessibility solutions, including for accessibility to premises and play equipment where there are stairs today.
• You propose a clearly marked pedestrian path from the pedestrian/cycle path to the entrance to reduce the risk of students crossing the schoolyard.
• You prepare a preliminary budget for proposed measures and an overall schedule for implementation.
• You are responsible for BAS-P (Safety Coordinator in the Planning and Design Phase) within planning and design to the extent it is included in the assignment.
• You deliver documents digitally in PDF and, if drawings are produced, also in DWG.

• You are a Landscape Architect.
• You have experience in designing schoolyards or parts of schoolyards.
• You can produce well-thought-out and purposeful proposals in early stages, such as in feasibility studies, program documents, or sketch proposals.
• You have the ability to make preliminary budget assessments and produce overall schedules.
• You can work independently and drive a limited assignment from analysis to delivery.
• You have the competence required to take responsibility as BAS-P within planning and design.
