We are now looking for a teacher for grade 2. You will be the class mentor and have primary responsibility for teaching core subjects, while collaborating closely with colleagues, student health services, and parents. About the workplace

The primary task of the Child and Education Administration is to offer a safe and stimulating learning environment where we equip children and young people for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and leisure activities for all residents.

Vansta School is a preschool to grade 9 school that places extra emphasis on safety, quality, and teaching development. Vansta School is located in Ösmo, with proximity to nature, the archipelago, and good transportation links. We are part of the Child and Education Administration in Nynäshamn Municipality, with a clear focus on long-term social benefit, high teaching quality, and equity.

What we are looking for in you

We are looking for you who want to be a class teacher in grade 2 and who are passionate about creating a safe, clear, and inspiring learning environment. You see both the group and the individual, are clear in your leadership, and believe that structure and warmth can go hand in hand.

You enjoy working closely with colleagues and student health services and see parents as important partners. You are curious about developing your teaching, happy to share your own ideas, and not afraid to try new working methods.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• A Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and Primary School (F–6) or equivalent teacher education that qualifies you for grade 2
• Teacher certification issued by the Swedish National Agency for Education
• At least 1 year of experience teaching in primary school
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Good digital competence
• Ability to lead a class with clear structure, order, and focus on study environment

It is meritorious if you have:

• Further education or courses in early reading, writing, and mathematics development
• Experience working as a class teacher in grades 1–3
• Experience working with extra adaptations and special support
• Experience with collegial learning, such as classroom observation, lesson observations, or joint lesson planning
• Experience collaborating closely with social pedagogues and student health teams
• Knowledge of and experience with formative assessment and work based on curricula documents
