Job Description

We are looking for an engaged teacher in Wood and Metal Craft (Trä- och metallslöjd) who will teach 85–90%. During the academic year 2026/2027, you will likely primarily teach grades 4–7 as well as age-mixed groups from our adapted primary school. However, you need to have qualifications up to grade 9, as it may involve other grade levels in the future. This academic year, it may also become relevant to teach Art in grade 4, in which case the position will be at 90%.

Together with your work team, you will contribute to developing working methods, routines, and approaches that benefit all students' development. In collaboration with other colleagues at the school, you will also enrich the development work that is ongoing under the leadership of the school management in cooperation with the lead teacher. During the coming academic year, the school will enter into a long-term and systematic work regarding teaching development, where you and your colleagues will exchange experiences and develop together.

Qualifications

We are looking for a clear leader both in the classroom and among colleagues who contributes to the development of Rödabergsskolan with warmth and firmness.

You are a licensed teacher for instruction in Wood and Metal Craft.

It is meritorious if you also have qualifications in Art, Textile Craft, or alternatively another subject that we have a need for. It is also meritorious if you have experience teaching in Adapted Primary School.

You are well-versed in Chapter 3 of LGR 22 and the school's other governing documents, and you are accustomed to planning and organizing your teaching based on these.

You master digital tools and Swedish in speech and writing.

You are skilled at creating conditions for all students by working with leadership and stimulation at the group level combined with extra adaptations for students who have needs.

You are curious and evaluate, reflect upon, and continuously develop your teaching and your profession.

You understand that learning takes place throughout the entire school day and value collaboration with colleagues where you take a shared responsibility for the students.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability for the position.

If you are a newly graduated teacher, you are entitled to a mentor during your first year, the introduction period.
