Do you want a summer job where you truly make a difference for people?
The Elderly Care department works actively for a sustainable working environment. Currently, there is extra pressure on our nurses, and we are testing various solutions to relieve this burden. One example is hiring 10 employees responsible for visiting individuals at home who need their medication at specific times but are unable to take it themselves.
Your Responsibilities
Here, you become an important person in many people's lives. Following a given route, you will visit individuals in their homes and ensure they receive their medication.
You will receive an introduction and delegation training.
To be considered for this position, you need:
- Experience in care and support services, for example, from the Care and Support program in upper secondary school, or experience working extra shifts in home care or at a care facility. You do not need to be a certified nursing assistant, but you must have relevant experience and have previously held medication delegation.
- A valid driver's license (Category B).
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and review care documentation, and obtain medication delegation.
You must be able to work independently while recognizing the importance of collaboration with various professional groups, where the individual being cared for also plays an active role. Naturally, you treat everyone with kindness and respect, and are attentive and open in your interactions with both the individuals receiving care and their relatives. You are a good team player and wish to contribute to good communication and cooperation with other stakeholders. Personal suitability is highly valued.
Since the work takes place in patients' homes, where pets and smoking may be present, it is important that you do not have allergies or sensitivities to these factors. Heavy lifting may occur, and transfer aids must be used.
Other Information
The positions are summer temporary assignments valid for the entire summer or parts of it, until August 31st.
Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends. Home healthcare is divided into three geographical teams; as a summer temporary employee, your work may be based in any of these teams.
Before an employment offer is made, you must provide a certificate of good conduct (extract from the police record).
Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis, so please submit your application today!
