The Welfare Sector's Authority Unit is now looking for an employee with experience in public administration as well as competence in the Social Services Act (SoL) and benefits casework.

Responsibilities

As a Benefits Caseworker, you are responsible for informing, investigating, assessing, making decisions, and following up on measures based on the Social Services Act, as well as current delegation orders and guidelines. The target group is persons over 18 years of age.

Here with us, you work closely with your colleagues but with your own area of responsibility. You collaborate with other units both within and outside your own organization, as well as with other authorities and healthcare providers. You are responsible for and independently drive the process in your cases.

You will become part of an experienced and engaged team with a strong focus on quality and collaboration.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • Have a relevant university degree, such as a degree in social work or another university degree assessed as equivalent by the employer. At least a bachelor's degree.
  • Have good knowledge of the Social Services Act.
  • Have experience in public administration and previous work with benefits casework.
  • Are empathetic, communicative, and responsive in meetings with individuals and relatives.
  • Enjoy working both independently and in teams.
  • Have good organizational and documentation skills.
  • Have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Have a positive outlook and find it easy to collaborate in complex situations.
  • Previous experience with the Treserva system is meritorious.
  • A B-class driver's license is required.

The Authority Unit consists of caseworkers for elderly care, disability, housing coordination, and fees. The work is led by the unit manager. Depending on the content of the position, suitability assessment, extracts from the criminal record and/or suspicion register, or security clearance with register control according to the Security Protection Act may be required before employment.
