We are now looking for two assistant nurses (undersköterskor) for the Viksjö care and nursing home. The facility consists of 40 apartments, distributed across four wards. Three of the wards are focused on dementia care, and one on somatic care. It is centrally and beautifully located along Viksjöleden, with a short walking distance to Viksjö center and close to public transport.

Job Responsibilities

You work according to a schedule covering days, evenings, and every other weekend. And anything can happen. You need to be ready to perform all common tasks – we work with and for people and their well-being, so it is problematic to think too much in boxes. However, to make it a bit clearer, you are expected to help and support residents with all forms of hygiene, toilet visits, medication, cleaning, various errands, meals, and above all, social interaction. It should be safe and pleasant to live in Viksjö!

Furthermore, as mentioned, anything can happen – so be prepared to help with flower care, assist with Wi-Fi, or troubleshoot an air conditioner.

Of course, we also need to document what we do. We do this based on IBIC in the Lifecare business system. IBIC is, by the way, more than just documentation – it is our entire approach. So consider it your primary task: to put the individual's needs at the center. Perform all the above tasks from that perspective. Clear, right?

We also want to constantly develop and become better. Therefore, you need to use your courage and engagement to report, analyze, and learn from the deviations that occur in the operations.

Qualifications

You must be a trained assistant nurse and have previous experience working in a care and nursing home. Furthermore, we are looking for an employee who is flexible and can work as needed throughout the entire building. One of the positions you are applying for is on our somatic ward, and that is where you will be based. The other position works scheduled throughout the entire building on all wards.

Furthermore, you need to understand what we mean by IBIC, i.e., what it means to have the individual's needs at the center – how to do it in practice. You must speak, understand, and write Swedish and can therefore document and communicate where necessary.

We also hope that you have an interest in developing some part of the operations. We work with ombuds roles where we together take extra responsibility for different parts of the operations. So you also need to be an ombud – maybe meals, documentation, or activities are your thing? And last but not least – you think it is fun and want to work with elderly care! Because we do!
