You will teach and support students in need of special support in grades Pre-K to 3, with a focus on language, reading, writing, and knowledge development. At Blombackaskolan, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on special educational interventions based on the students' needs and the school's guiding documents. You work both directly with students and in an advisory capacity towards teachers to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment where all students are given the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites.

You are a clear and secure pedagogical leader who builds trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Through a structured and solution-focused approach, you contribute to safety, study peace, and increased goal achievement for the students.

Your Responsibilities

At Blombackaskolan, we work with language and knowledge-developing teaching, based on our jointly developed teaching model. As a special needs teacher, you work to identify and analyze students' needs for special support and plan and implement targeted interventions both individually and in small groups. You may also work in the classroom together with teaching teachers.

You map students' strengths and areas for development and follow up and document interventions in close collaboration with teaching teachers, student health services, and guardians. You contribute special educational competence to preventive and promoting work and advise colleagues regarding adaptations, support measures, and accessible learning environments.

Reading and language development are central parts of the school's work, and you use evidence-based methods and structured approaches to strengthen students' reading, writing, and language development. You actively participate in the school's development work and contribute to equal and sustainable teaching for all students.

You are an engaged and professional special needs teacher with a strong interest in student learning and school development. You have a good ability to create safety and motivation among students in need of support and work solution-focused to find strategies that strengthen students' development and independence.

You are receptive, structured, and clear in your communication with students, guardians, and colleagues. As a colleague, you are collaboration-oriented and actively contribute to the joint work of developing teaching and creating good results for the students.

Requirements

• You have a special needs teacher degree with specialization in language, writing, and reading development, as well as teacher certification for the relevant grade level.
• You are well-versed in the school's guiding documents and work from an inclusive and formative approach.
• You have experience working with students in need of special support and in implementing adaptations and special educational interventions with good results.
• You have good collaboration skills and can advise and support colleagues in special educational matters.
• You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and communicate in a professional and clear manner.

Merits

• Experience working in lower primary school (Pre-K to 3).
• Experience with assessment materials and pedagogical investigations, as well as RTI, Legilexi, and Magma.
• Experience documenting in Prorenata.
• Good habit of using digital tools and compensatory aids to strengthen student learning.
