About the job

As an Information Security Coordinator at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen/FI), you play a central role in protecting the authority's information assets. You work closely with the business operations, acting as an advisor, coordinator, and knowledge disseminator within information security. The role combines strategic and operational work and suits you if you thrive on translating regulations into practical utility, creating understanding, and building security awareness within the organization.

You coordinate, develop, and follow up on information security efforts, and are responsible for interpreting and applying relevant laws, ordinances, and regulations, including those of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (MCF). The assignment also includes working with the classification, handling, and protection of information classified for security protection.

Furthermore, you conduct risk analyses, information classifications, and impact assessments, and develop and implement governing documents. You design and conduct training and information campaigns, and contribute to developing the authority's processes and working methods in this area. You also follow developments within information security and report relevant observations to management, in close collaboration with colleagues in a competent and engaged team.

  • have pedagogical skills (documented)
  • have previously worked with information security in a large organization or public sector
  • have experience with risk analysis, incident management, and governing documents
  • have experience with management systems and audits
  • have experience working within the security protection area.

About you

You are expected to contribute to good and open collaboration, while actively driving your work forward and making decisions within your area of responsibility. You communicate clearly and appropriately for different target groups, and you plan your work with a long-term perspective.
