About the position
ANOVA is a highly specialized unit within the Medical Unit of Endocrinology at Karolinska University Hospital. At the clinic, psychologists, nurses, doctors, biomedical analysts, psychotherapists, social workers, dermatologists, and administrative staff work in multidisciplinary teams. Several employees have expertise in sexology and sexual medicine.
As a Psychology Assistant, you will work with PrevenTell – the helpline for unwanted sexuality.
People who are worried about their own or someone else's sexuality contact PrevenTell. The helpline offers support, advice, and guidance. Relatives and professionals with questions regarding sexual problematic behavior are also welcome to contact the service.
The work involves staffing the help phone and chat. You work on delegation from licensed psychologists and other licensed personnel, such as psychotherapists. Support from an experienced colleague is available as needed during each shift.
The position is remote and covers approximately 18 hours per month, distributed over evenings and every other Saturday.
We are looking for you who
- have integrity and the ability to handle sensitive conversations and situations in a professional manner
- are quality-conscious, meticulous, and take responsibility for your work and documentation
- have good judgment and can make well-founded assessments even in complex situations
- are relationship-building and easily create trust through an attentive and respectful approach
- are secure, stable, and unpretentious, and ask for support when needed.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- ongoing psychology studies, at least semester 6
Merits:
- interest in sexual medicine issues
- experience in supportive conversations or work within psychiatry, care, or support services
- experience in phone- or chat-based support work.
