Laboratory Analyst

We are looking for a laboratory analyst with a sharp eye – literally.

About Maivab

Miljöanalyser i Väst AB (Maivab) is an analysis company located on Ringön in Gothenburg, specializing in environmental and occupational health analysis. We conduct analyses of building materials, soil, dust, air, and water samples.

Responsibilities

You will play a key role in our operations, where quality, responsibility, and a welcoming attitude are highly valued. The pace can sometimes be fast, but we support each other and appreciate a workplace where everyone takes responsibility and enjoys working together.

Among other things, your tasks will include:

• Asbestos analysis
• Interpretation of analysis results
• Report writing
• Customer reception
• Sample registration

About the Role

• Full-time
• Salary: Monthly salary
• Employment type: Permanent (probationary period applies)
• Workplace: Ringön, Gothenburg
• Start date: As agreed
• Internal training in the company's analysis methods is included.
• Regular medical check-ups are conducted for staff.

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys meticulous analytical work and appreciates structure and clarity in daily tasks. Since the role involves both analysis and report writing, it is important that you are detail-oriented and can communicate effectively in Swedish.

To thrive and succeed in this role, we would like you to:

• have a background in natural sciences or technology, for example in laboratory technology or chemistry
• be analytical, responsible, and have a systematic approach to work
• possess strong concentration skills and an eye for detail
• be able to express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Qualifications

It is meritorious if you have previous experience or work with:

• asbestos analysis
• polarizing light microscopy (PLM)
• phase contrast microscopy
