Do you want to work in a business where technology, commerce, and social benefit meet? We are now looking for a strategic buyer for a consultancy assignment in a high-tech and international industrial environment, focusing on long-term supply capability and complex business operations.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to take strategic responsibility in a business where purchasing is a central part of the operation and where collaboration between technology, production, and the supplier network is crucial for success. You will become part of an environment characterized by long-term perspective, high quality requirements, and international cooperation, where you will contribute to developing sustainable and robust supplier relationships.
ResponsibilitiesAs a strategic buyer, you are responsible for developing and driving business and purchasing strategies within technically advanced areas. You work through the entire commercial process – from strategy and supplier dialogue to negotiation, contracts, and follow-up.
The role involves close collaboration with several parts of the business, such as development, production, project management, and aftermarket. You drive commercial dialogues and negotiations with suppliers and are responsible for establishing and managing contracts within complex and technology-intensive businesses. Furthermore, you lead and coordinate supplier work in close cooperation with internal functions and monitor supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and long-term capacity.
You also work strategically with total cost, risk management, and supply security, contributing to the development of long-term and sustainable supplier relationships.
QualificationsRequirementsUniversity degree in economics, engineering, or another relevant field
Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or similar business-driven roles
Experience in negotiation and contract management in complex organizations
Good understanding of business and strategic perspectives related to supply chains and total cost of ownership
Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
Experience working cross-functionally in complex operations
Structured and business-driven approach to work
Experience from technology-intensive industries, such as defense, aviation, manufacturing, or advanced production
Experience with international supplier relationships
Understanding of project-oriented businesses and complex supply chains
Location: Linköping
