The Role of Assistant Nurse, Care Assistant, and Helper with Us

As an assistant nurse, care assistant, or helper, you will meet people with different needs and work in their homes. It is a free and varied job where you are part of a professional work group. No two days are alike, and the work is stimulating and never boring. Sometimes it can be tough to work independently at a flexible pace, but all the warmth and joy from care recipients, relatives, and colleagues give you new energy.

Your role includes:

• collaborating with colleagues and home healthcare based on good and close care as well as a rehabilitative approach
• creating and following implementation plans and routines based on the care recipient's needs
• together with your colleagues, creating a safe and stimulating environment for the care recipient and in the work group

You will work according to a schedule covering days, evenings, and every other weekend. You will walk, cycle, and drive a car as part of the job. You will have the opportunity to perform health and medical care interventions after instruction and delegation from a nurse.

Your Profile

You love working with people; you are a joy-bringer who gives energy to your care recipients and colleagues. As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and self-reliant in your work, seeing opportunities in changes and development. In Kungsbacka, we try new things and would be happy if you have an interest in testing new welfare technology. Personal suitability is highly valued.

We are looking for someone who:

• is at least 18 years old
• expresses themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work
• holds a Category B driver's license

Kullavik Home Care is located between Gothenburg and Kungsbacka with relaxing surroundings and proximity to the sea! The home care in Kullavik is the name of the municipal home care in Kungsbacka's own management. We are based at Kyviksvägen 2 and therefore always have a short distance home to those we serve. Within the home care, there is ongoing work to clarify the role of the assistant nurse, which means that as an assistant nurse with us, you will not perform cleaning or home delivery of purchased goods. We are proud that in the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's survey in 2023, our care recipients were 100% satisfied with our treatment.

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer a permanent full-time position with start date according to agreement.

The position is full-time or according to agreement. Within the Department of Care & Social Services, all employees in home care and care/residential homes are employed at 100% capacity, but employees have the opportunity to reduce their capacity to the desired level based on the operation's needs.

Before an employment offer is made, an acceptable extract from the police record of convictions must be presented. The type of extract required is "Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities". (See e-service at the Swedish Police Authority).

Background checks may be conducted before employment.

As of July 1, 2023, "Assistant Nurse" is a protected professional title.

Therefore, when employed as an assistant nurse, you must present proof from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title. Please apply now if you do not already have your license.
