ABOUT THE COMPANY

Sparv Embedded AB was founded in 2012 in Linköping by Anders Petersson and develops innovative solutions within meteorological measuring equipment by combining electronics, embedded systems, and software. The company focuses on developing mobile, portable, and user-friendly systems for weather and environmental measurements in the field. The company has its roots in Petersson's early experiments with control systems for radio-controlled aircraft as early as 2010 and has since grown into a team of over ten full-time employees together with collaboration partners both locally and internationally.

Sparv has developed Windsond, the world's lightest radiosonde, which is today widely used primarily in weather research in Europe and North America but also in defense and firefighting. The company has also developed Sparvio, a uniquely modular platform for UAV-based measurements that makes it easy to integrate different types of sensors on drones for weather and environmental monitoring.

The company's goal is to drive development within environmental and measurement technology forward and provide researchers, industry, and decision-makers with better foundations to make smarter decisions in a changing world.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Sales Representative at Sparv Embedded, you will initially primarily work on creating new business opportunities through active prospecting and outbound work. A large part of the role involves identifying relevant customers, making initial contact via email, LinkedIn, and phone, as well as booking and qualifying meetings. The role also includes following up on customer dialogues, preparing quotes, and closing deals.

You will initially focus on new customers within segments such as research, universities, and firefighting, where Sparv Embedded sees significant growth potential. In the long run, the role may also include work towards defense-related customers and partners.

The role also involves some contact with existing customers, but the main focus is on new customer acquisition and building the pipeline. As you develop in the role, you will also get the opportunity to drive more complex deals independently and take greater responsibility in the sales process. In the role, you will be based at the office in Ebbepark in Linköping and will primarily have many digital meetings, although physical customer visits also occur. You will work closely with your colleagues, both within business development and technology. You will receive much support in the sales work from colleagues initially, which gives you a good foundation and the opportunity to eventually take on greater personal responsibility for the sales.   • A few years of sales experience, or alternatively education in the field combined with sales experience through part-time jobs, internships, or similar.
  • Very good knowledge of English. If you speak fluent Swedish and more languages in addition to that, it is seen as a strong merit.
