About Us

Approximately 265,000 incidents are handled annually in the Region of Västra Götaland for its 1.7 million inhabitants. Our mission is to ensure that patients receive the right care at the right level, with the right resources, at the right time – for example, via ambulance, air ambulance, lying patient transport, or referral for seated patient transport. Our duties involve coordinating ambulances, helicopters, and lying patient transport, triaging, and allocating appropriate prehospital resources.

At the Healthcare Dispatch Centre (SvLc), we work to create safety and rapid assistance when it is truly needed. We are a vital part of the Region of Västra Götaland's emergency medical services and collaborate closely with both ambulance services and other healthcare providers. Our mission is to assess, prioritize, and coordinate interventions, often under time pressure, using modern digital tools, great commitment, and strong teamwork. About You

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant (undersköterska) or have another equivalent education that we consider relevant. You must also have at least three years of experience in clinical healthcare work or from working at a dispatch centre.

Experience in resource coordination, preferably supported by digital tools, is considered an asset. A prehospital background and good geographical knowledge, especially in Västra Götaland, are advantageous. You should be familiar with working in the Office package and other digital systems. You must have very good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset. Since the role involves working in a sophisticated technical environment, you need to be confident using IT and telephone systems. Experience with platforms such as CoordCom, Alitis, SAFE, or similar is a big plus.

As a person, we are looking for someone who handles multiple tasks easily and can maintain calm and focus even in stressful situations. You have good teamwork skills, thrive in a team environment, and communicate in a clear and structured manner. Additionally, you have strong organizational skills and work in an orderly and efficient manner.

Conditions

As of July 1, 2023, "nursing assistant" (undersköterska) became a protected professional title. This means you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social care. A prerequisite for employment with us is that you are a Swedish citizen, and you will undergo a security interview, as the position may be security classified.

Selection and interviews will take place continuously during the application period.
